84-90 Buchanan Street, Glasgow

Roganos, located at 11 Exchange Place in Glasgow, is a commercial building designed by Robert Foote around 1835. It features a severe classical style and originally stood at three storeys, with a fourth storey added in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of cream ashlar sandstone, and the ground floor has modern shop fronts with a dividing cornice above.

On the Buchanan Street elevation, the building has 11 bays, with the central three bays advanced. The windows on the first and second floors have plain architraves, and there is an entablature and cornice above. The third floor is arranged in a 1-4-4-4-1 pattern, styled in a Thomsonesque manner, featuring a central block pediment flanked by chimneys.

The Exchange Place elevation also has 11 bays and is similarly detailed, with the third floor windows arranged in a 1-3-1-5-1-3 formation, again with a block pediment between wallhead chimneys.

At No. 11 (Roganos), there is an Art Deco frontage designed by Weddell and Inglis in 1935, featuring a vitrolite fascia that has recently been restored by Weddell and Thomson. No. 9 is a corner block with a return elevation to Royal Exchange Square. The sash and case windows have a plate-glass glazing pattern, while the third floor features casement windows.
