Cardonald Place Farmhouse And Steading, Cardonald Place Road, Glasgow

Cardonald Place Farmhouse and Steading is a mid-19th century building located on Cardonald Place Road in Glasgow. It is set within the extended city boundary and is surrounded on three sides by 20th century housing. The farmhouse features a 1565 armorial panel that has been re-set in the center of its advanced gable. It is two stories tall, symmetrical, and consists of three bays with crow-stepped, pedimented outer first floor former heads and end stacks. The structure is constructed from stugged, coursed ashlar with chamfered ingoes. It has a central door and retains its original glazing with sash windows arranged in a 12-pane pattern, topped with slate roofs. The steading is built from squared rubble and also has slate roofs, with an additional detached block located to the northwest.
