172, 174, 176, 178 West Regent Street, Glasgow

180, 182, 184, and 186 West Regent Street in Glasgow are a range of classical houses built around 1830. They have been altered and added to for conversion into commercial premises. The buildings are three storeys high with a basement and feature twelve bays arranged in a 6-6 pattern. The basements have been modified. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar.

There are three prominent projecting corniced block porticos supported by Ionic columns with Greek key pedestals. These porticos are arched and have panelled spandrels at the top of the steps, with parapet walls above. The ground floor features a keyblocked arcade with shallow pilasters and recessed windows that have moulded cills. All the windows are sash and case, with some having 12-pane glazing.

The first-floor windows are framed with architraves and are corniced, with pedimented central bays in each section. The second-floor windows are also architraved. The buildings have an eaves cornice and a blocking course, with axial stacks visible on the roof.
