Description

John A Campbell, architect; circa 1906. Symmetrical terrace

of 6 2-bay houses arranged in 4-bay pairs. Rock faced

masonry; polished margins, quoins and base course. Each 4-bay

elevations with full height canted windows to outer bays,

linked by ashlar balcony supported on ashlar corbels;

parapet, solid over door, otherwise balustraded. Steps to

roll-moulded lugged architraved doorway with keystone.

Double-leaf outer doors; vestibule tripartite with arched

leaded fanlight and panels. Between doors, small roll-moulded

lights. Above doors; single light windows with polished

margins. Sash windows, plate glass lower sashes; small pane

upper sashes. Mutule cornice, wide mutule eaves. Tall axial

stacks, plain skews, slate roofs.

Stugged ashlar flanks; all with 2-storey projecting wings to

rear
