164 Queen's Drive, and 85, 89 Albert Avenue, Glasgow

152, 154, and 156 Queen's Drive is a later 19th century tenement featuring Renaissance detailing. The building has three storeys plus a basement, constructed of polished ashlar with a channelled ground floor. Some of the bays are canted and topped with iron crests. The entrances are single and grouped, with a triple doorway on the right that is flanked by massive pilasters. Above this doorway, there are 2-light windows with shell-heads on the first floor, which also features deep consoled hoods with iron railings; other first-floor window hoods are plainer. The building includes horizontal strings and a stone-bracketed cornice, with plate glass sashes. The end range, number 164, shares similar detailing but appears to be a later addition. The return elevation to Albert Avenue mainly consists of single lights. Additionally, there are cast-iron railings leading to the steps and the basements.
