Power Station, Pollok House, Pollok Park, Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow

The sawmill at Pollok House, located to the southwest of the stables beside the River Cart, is likely from the mid-19th century. It is a single-storey brick structure that retains much of its early machinery. In 1888, a Holyoake turbine replaced the original low-breast waterwheel. Adjacent to the sawmill is a power station built in the late 19th or early 20th century, featuring four by two bays with domestic-looking windows and key-blocked roundels in the gable heads. The Waverley turbine was constructed by Carrick & Ritchie of Edinburgh. Nearby, the caul in the River Cart may date back to the 18th century.

There is also a rectangular-plan detached block, which was used as a countryside ranger's office in 1990, situated between the sawmill and the stables. This block appears to be from the late 18th or early 19th century but includes large stone blocks that may have been reused. The lean-to on the southwest flank is not original.
