Description
This building, located at 185 and 187 St Vincent Street in Glasgow, dates from around 1825 and is part of a terrace of three-bay classical houses. It stands three storeys high with a basement, constructed of ashlar stone that is rusticated at the ground floor. The ground floor features voussoired lintels above the openings. There is a left entry at the top of steps that oversails the basement. The ground and first floors have sash and case windows, with architraves on the first floor and some featuring 12-pane glazing. The later addition of a three-bay semi-elliptically arched attic is keyblocked, with the bays separated by pilasters that are supported below the cill on corbels. The attic windows are casement style with glazing bars, and the building is topped with a mutule cornice.
