Description

The Royal Hotel, located on Cupar Road in Auchtermuchty, is an earlier 19th-century building. The original part is a large double-pile, two-storey house with a three-window frontage. It features Roman Doric pilastered doorpieces that have wrought-iron lampholders at both the front and back. There is a modern east wing that matches the original design, constructed with synthetic stone. The roofs are piended and slated. Additionally, there are single-storey and loft outbuildings made of whin rubble, also with piended slated roofs.
