Description

The Engine and Aircraft Repair Shop, built between 1939 and 1940, is a very large Northlight hangar constructed from brick and featuring a distinctive corrugated iron sawtooth roof with five bays. It has a collection of low lean-to extensions on the north and south elevations. The west elevation includes large sliding metal doors that operate on projecting sliding gear. There is also a variety of multi-pane metal windows and timber boarded doors throughout the building.
