Description

The Aircraft Painting Hangar, built between 1939 and 1940, is a large rectangular structure made of corrugated iron, sitting on a deep brick base. The east elevation features large sliding metal doors with projecting sliding gear. Above the brick base course, there is a broad band of multi-pane metal windows on the south, west, and north elevations. The gables include ventilation louvres, and there is a low flat-roofed brick extension to the north.
