Description
This is a primary school, built in the later 19th century. It is a rectangular two-storey building with a single-storey wing extending to the south. The exterior is of coursed rubble stone with ashlar dressings, featuring gables and a piended roof section to the south. The roof is slated with ornamental tile ridges. The west front has a centrally positioned door within a shallow, gabled projecting porch. To the left and right of the porch are gabled bays. The left side has tripartite windows on both the ground and first floors, with a bipartite window above. The left side also features three widely spaced windows above a bipartite window. Rectangular ashlar stacks, with a block cornice, are present. A poor, modern addition has been made to the front of the building. The school is part of a group of buildings which includes Kemback Beg items 18, 19, and 28. The statutory address includes the Former School-master's House.
