Description
This is an early 19th century house, originally three cottages, now combined into a single dwelling. The southern section has been significantly altered and is included in the listing primarily for group value. The statutory address is 2 Malt Loan (or Row) off Jubilee Crescent, Newton of Falkland.
The southern portion of the building is constructed from rubble with droved dressings, and has a pantile roof. The original cottage doors have been altered into windows, and additional windows have been inserted. The northern part of the house is at a lower level and features two bipartites (double-width windows) and a central door, all under a pantile roof and built from rubble. The listing applies to both the interior and exterior of the building.
