Description
This is an 18th century building, altered subsequently. It is a single-storey structure with two windows (now altered to bipartites) and a central door. The building is constructed of rubble and has a steeply pitched slated roof. The walls skew at half their height. To the east stands the Bield, also substantially altered, with a lintel dated 1768. The building's listing reflects its group value within the surrounding area. The listing extends to both the interior and exterior of the building, as appropriate to its type. The statutory address is 1 Malt Loan (or Row) off Jubilee Crescent, Newton of Falkland.
