Description
Tayfield House, located on Tayfield Avenue in Newport-On-Tay, was built in 1828 by George Smith, who incorporated elements of an older house to the north that was remodeled. This Tudor-style building is large, asymmetrical, and features two storeys (with a basement) and an attic. The exterior is harled with ashlar dressings. It has mullioned and transomed windows and diagonal shafted chimneys. The roof is slated and includes a bard-course. Notably, one of the front windows has been reglazed.
