Description
The Lodge and Ticket Office at Ladybank Station, built around 1847 when the Edinburgh and Northern Railway was opened, is a single-storey structure that appears two-storeys high from the road. Designed by architect David Bell, it features droved ashlar stonework and a slate roof that is hipped at the outer end. The platform side has a skew gable adorned with ornate skewputs and a Jacobean finial, while the south end has a plain chamfered window and a tall brick chimney. Steps lead down to the roadway beside the lodge, and there is a doorway located on the rear elevation.
