Description
Colluthie House is a complex building with several construction phases, primarily reflecting remodelling of earlier work. The southeast part was reconstructed in 1823 for John Inglis, likely following his own designs. This section is two stories high with five windows on the south side, constructed from whin rubble with margins and a slated roof. It features a segmentally arched pilaster doorpiece and retains its original knocker. The western part was remodelled or rebuilt after 1843 and has six windows on the first floor, one of which is a built-up door. There is an office wing beyond that includes a grotesque head skewput, along with gatepiers topped with reeded dome capping. Additionally, there is a further alteration in the form of a two-storey asymmetrical late Victorian addition at the northeast, designed by James Maclaren & Sons.
