Description
Moonzie Parish Kirk is a small, plain rectangular building that likely dates from the late 17th or early 18th century, possibly incorporating some medieval work on the east side. The exterior is harled and features crow-stepped gables, with a slated roof. A simple square column bell-cote, probably from the late 18th century, is located at the west end and has an ogee and ball terminal on the east. The east wall is indented at half its height.
On the south side, there are three square-headed windows with margins, along with one high up on the east gable and another on the north wall of the east end, all of which have been reglazed. The southwest interior has a thickly moulded surround for a panel that is now missing. The church has no gallery and features seating from 1821, with other furnishings updated over time. The open timber roof adds to the interior's character.
In 1882-1883, Wm Little and Son added a southwest porch, constructed by builder Finlay in 1906. The churchyard contains some table tombs.
