Description

This is a small, probably early 18th-century sundial, originally located at Glassmount House. It consists of a cubic body resting on a three-tier plinth. The dial faces have been eroded, giving way to a stepped cap with scalloped carving. The gnomon, or finial, is now missing. The sundial is situated near the 19th-century Glassmount House, but is close to a dovecot which is likely of 18th-century date. The house, dovecot, conservatory, and steading are listed separately.
