Description
Drinkbetween is a plain classical house built in the earlier to mid 19th century. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with a piended roof and a single-storey wing at the rear. The exterior features dry-dash finish with stone margins, quoin strips, and an ashlar doorway.
The southeast elevation is symmetrical, showcasing a central bay with a block pedimented ashlar doorpiece. This includes a deep-set panelled timber door and a three-pane fanlight, flanked by windows in the adjacent bays. The first floor has regular fenestration close to the eaves.
On the northeast elevation, there are two windows on each floor, with a shouldered wallhead stack above. A further window is located in the recessed single-storey wing at the outer right.
The southwest elevation has its ground floor obscured by a boundary hedge, but features a window to the left of centre on the first floor and a shouldered wallhead stack at the centre.
The windows are timber sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, and the coped ashlar stacks have a full complement of polygonal cans.
The boundary walls are made of coped rubble, with the southeast walls featuring saddleback coping and inset cast-iron spearhead railings, along with a two-leaf ironwork gate.
