Description

A gate lodge dating to circa 1830. It is a two-storey building with a lean-to outshot, characterised by splayed angles corbelled to square and broad eaves. The walls are harled, and the window and door openings are splayed, with Tudor arches above the first-floor windows. The lodge is currently derelict. Pitmilly House, originally built by Robert Balfour in 1820 and incorporating an earlier house, has been demolished. The statutory address is North Lodge, Pitmilly.
