The Market Cross in High Street, Dunfermline, is a sandstone ashlar structure from the later 19th century, with a shaft added in the late 20th century. It features a stepped octagonal base that is inscribed with 'RE-ERECTED BY PUBLIC SUBSCRIPTION ... AUGUST 1868'. Above this base is a circular shaft, which is dated 1992, topped with a carved unicorn that holds a Scottish shield on a square pedestal.
