Description
Airngath Farm is a farm steading primarily dating from the 18th century, featuring red-painted buildings arranged around a courtyard. The structures are whitewashed rubble with ashlar dressings. The house located at the south side includes re-used roll-moulded dressings and a lintel dated 1633. It has irregular bays and three stacks, which were rebuilt in the 19th or early 20th century, along with 18th century skewputts and rooflights. There is a rendered lean-to on the west gable that connects to a long, low west range, which includes a four-bay implement shed that extends eastward, enclosing the courtyard. The free-standing east range serves as a barn and features a full-length axial ventilator.
