Description
The Hatherley, located on Arnothill Lane in Falkirk, is a mansion house designed by William Gibson in 1904, showcasing elements of the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau styles. The building features a symmetrical south front with three stories and a three-window topless central tower, flanked by two-story sections with two windows on either side. The north front is asymmetrical, incorporating a single-storey office court at the front. The exterior is harled with stone dressings, exhibiting a very simple treatment. Inside, there is unusual Arts and Crafts interior work that is of significant interest.
