Description

Late 18th or early 19th century altered Mid 19th and

again recently on conversion to houses, fenestration of

steading wings much altered single storey U-plan farm

group, whitewashed rubble with ashlar margins. Original

farmhouse single storey and attic, in centre of court on

west, 2-window and centre door with further window inserted

extreme left, swept off-centre dormers front and back.

Steading wings are of same height with bracketed eaves on

end corbels at E gables, S gable and unfortunately much

altered. 2-wings of unequal length at rear of farmhouse,

one gabled, one piended, further addition with low pitched

roof and central stack at SW corner of group-slated roofs

with low stacks. Unusual detached threshing barn to north

of steading court, gabled single storey and basement

rectangle with concave SW angle, rubble built with large

droved dressings, slit window in south wall. Slated roof.
