Description
The Maitlandfield Hotel is a building from the mid-18th century that has been significantly expanded over time. Originally, it featured a symmetrical house design with a two-storey central block and two-window piend roof wings. Around 1850 to 1860, a taller two-storey front addition was made to the main block, which created an asymmetrical appearance with a canted bay on the left and an advanced entrance bay on the right. At the same time, single-storey wings were added. The exterior is harled and whitewashed, topped with a slated roof. There is also a rubble garden wall and a single-storey rubble and slated structure nearby.
