Description
Model Farm at Fenton Barns is a building designed by J Inch Morrison between 1938 and 1940. It features a two-storey rectangular plan and is a flat-roofed warehouse originally intended as a model milking complex in the International Modern style. The exterior is rendered and painted.
On the west elevation, there is a bold U-shaped projecting stair with a multi-light, semi-circular window. A broad doorway with a slab hoot is located at the southern projection. To the right, there are tripartite lights at both the ground and first floors. Recessed panels to the left serve as moveable openings. Plain band courses are present to the right and encircle the corner, where there were formerly cill and lintel courses for a window strip and doorway, which are now blocked.
The south elevation features single-storey projecting offices, while a multi-gabled warehouse is located at the rear.
