2 Eskside West, Musselburgh

1 Eskside West in Musselburgh is a pair of semi-detached houses built around 1840. They are single storey with attics and feature a ridge slate roof with end stacks. The exterior is made of coursed rubble with raised margins around the doors, and the corners have in and out quoins. The eaves are corniced. The central doors are flanked by three-light canted bay windows that have facetted roofs. Above the door, there is a semicircular dormer, and the canted dormers have central finialled gablets. Number 1 has a later flat-roofed extension that includes a bipartite window, a cornice, and a blocking course. The windows throughout the houses are a mix of single and double pane sashes.
