Description

Circa 1851. Symmetrical 2-storey, 3-bay dwelling house; small outbuilding attached to N elevation. Squared and snecked sandstone rubble. Base course; central castellated porch; hoodmoulds to ground floor windows and door.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: central castellated porch: gothic arched window on W front; entrance door with fanlight and hoodmould to left return. Single windows flank porch to left and right; regular fenestration at 1st floor.

N ELEVATION: small gothic arched window in gablehead; single storey, single bay wing attached at ground

E (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen 2001.

S ELEVATION: small gothic arched window in gablehead.

10-pane timber sash and case glazing to main house; 2-pane to wing. Slate roof; coped gablehead stacks; tall cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 2001.

OUTBUILDING AND BOUNDARY WALL: small coped wall to Grange Terrace; taller coped wall to N and W; pair of timber gates in garden wall; 1 ? storey, single bay outbuilding incorporated into NW corner of wall: pair of timber garage doors with gothic arched niched; timber hayloft hatch above.
