Description
9-11 Loudoun Street in Mauchline is a vernacular building from the late 18th to early 19th century, featuring a two-storey range. The exterior is made of stucco, harled, painted stone, and pink ashlar, and it likely incorporates elements from an older property. The building has two gables with rolled and carved skews. In the center of the group, there is a raised attic that includes a recessed elliptical panel below a pediment. The chemist shop at the corner of Earl Grey Street creates an L-shaped grouping with this building.
