Including Outbuildings And Boundary Walls And Gatepiers, Auchentiber House

Auchentiber House is an earlier to mid 19th century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical classical former farmhouse and farm, featuring flanking single-storey wings to the north, which together form a U-plan layout. The property is currently vacant as of 2008. The front elevation, facing south, is constructed of droved, coursed sandstone, while the rear and wings are made of painted rubble. Architectural details include a base course, raised cills, a cornice, and raised quoin strips on the outer bays.

The front elevation has a slightly advanced central bay with a deep recessed, non-traditional part-glazed entrance door. The rear elevation is largely blank, featuring a single stair window in the center and another to the right at ground level. The wings have boarded and sliding boarded doors, arrow-slit openings, and skylights. There is a three-holed pigeon port with a straight landing ledge on the north gable. Additionally, there is a single-storey slated outbuilding adjoining to the northwest.

The farmhouse has predominantly non-traditional windows and a piended roof covered with graded grey slates, while some wings have corrugated metal roofing. There are raised skews and skewputts, and the coped wallhead stacks have some missing cans.

The boundary walls include the remains of a tall rubble boundary wall to the south with swept coping, which encloses the former garden. To the north, there are rubble walls featuring a pair of square-plan capped gatepiers.
