Description
6 Pitfour Street in Dundee is a two-storey terrace of artisan dwellings built in the 1860s. This rubble-built structure features ashlar dressings and consists of eight three-bay units that step down towards the west due to the slope of the ground.
The south elevation has ground floor flats that are accessed at four points by steps leading to a raised railed pavement. Each unit is symmetrical with two windows and a central door, except for the easternmost unit, which has an advanced bay with a bipartite window and a piended roof. The first floor flats on the north elevation are also accessed by steps. The west elevation is plain, with a single door in the eastern gables.
The windows are sash and case, with some having a reduced proportion of glazing. The units are separated by party walls and feature coped rubble-built ridge stacks. The roofs are covered with slate.
