Description

4 and 5 Trottick Mains in Dundee are a terrace of single-storey cottages built for mill and bleach workers, dating from around 1790 to 1800. The cottages have rubble-built elevations that are either whitewashed or harled. Most of the window openings have been enlarged and fitted with modern glazing patterns, and there are some later extensions at the rear.

The cottages feature high slate roofs without dormers, which include small rooflights. They also have tall ashlar ridge stacks topped with thack stanes and coping, and it is possible that the roofs were originally thatched.
