27-29 Union Street, Dundee

21, 23, and 25 Union Street is an earlier 19th-century, four-storey and attic tenement building featuring six bays and shops on the ground floor. The structure is built of sandstone ashlar with a grey slate roof. The ground floor has a corniced design, and there is a corniced blocking course above. The first-floor windows are architraved and corniced, while the second floor has margined windows in the three right-hand bays and later concrete architraves on the left. The third floor features concrete architraves on the three left-hand bays, along with box and canted dormers. The original glazing pattern consists of 12-pane timber sash and case windows in the three left-hand bays on the second floor and the second and third bays from the right on the third floor, with 2-pane windows elsewhere. The corniced ridge stacks add to the building's character.

On the front elevation, there are two close doors flanked by altered shopfronts at the ground floor, with six windows on each upper floor and four dormers. The interior has not been seen.
