13 Norrie Street, Broughty Ferry, Dundee

9 Norrie Street in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, is a single-storey and attic terrace of four houses built in 1927 by Gauldie and Hardie. The houses have a rectangular plan and a symmetrical layout, featuring three bays in a late Arts and Crafts cottage style. The exterior is harled with a red tile roof and harled stacks topped with brick coping. Most windows are timber casements with 6 and 8 panes, although the uPVC window frames at No 11 are not in keeping with the original design.

On the west elevation, the houses are arranged in symmetrical pairs that are mirrored at the center. Each pair includes canted windows at the ground floor, flanking doors, and 6-pane windows. Above the canted bays are jettied, gabled dormers with horizontal windows. The design features deep eaves, a flat-roofed dormer at the center, two rooflights, and two ridge stacks.

The north and south gables include a door and window at the ground floor on the east side, a stair window, and flanking 8- and 12-pane casements, all set beneath a lintel course.

The east elevation mirrors the west elevation but has slight alterations. Each pair has lean-to porches that project under the gabled dormers, with windows set back and doors positioned on the left and right. The dormer and rooflights are consistent with those on the west elevation.

Additionally, there is an original rubble boundary wall on the west side, featuring four pairs of plain gatepiers.
