Description

Millhouse Bridge, built in 1827 by contractor John MacCracken, is a road bridge featuring a single wide segmental arch over the River Annan. The bridge is constructed entirely of red ashlar stone, primarily stugged, with rusticated voussoirs. It has a band course and polished ashlar coping on the parapet. The abutments are slightly battered, and there are shallow terminal piers at the curved approaches.
