Description
Earlier 19th century. Single storey and attic, asymmetrical, gabled former shooting lodge. Coursed granite; polished granite dressings. Raised margins, some chamfered at ground floor. Gabled dormerheads. Half-piend slate roofs to canted windows. Mainly 2-light windows. Boarded doors.
W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: gabled porch to left, with door to N return and window to W; 3-light window at ground floor and dormerheaded window at 1st floor in flanking bays. Gable advanced to right; porch enlarged from canted window, with glazed half-piend roof to rectangular projection and shallow steps to 2-leaf door; single-light windows flanking to canted angles; window in gablehead. Gable further advanced to outer right; canted window at ground floor, bipartite to W; window in gablehead. Gabled outhouse advanced to outer left, with depressed-arched door to S return and single-light window to W.
S ELEVATION: gable advanced to right; canted window at ground floor, bipartite to S; window in gablehead. 3-light window at ground floor to left; dormerheaded window at 1st floor.
E ELEVATION: bipartite French window to left; dormerheaded window at 1st floor. Tall window flanking to right at ground floor. Gable advanced to right; rectangular window at ground floor, quadripartite to E; window in gablehead. Gable further advanced to outer right; 2-light window in gablehead; window to left at ground floor and door into modern passage addition to right, linked to single storey corrugated iron building to E.
N ELEVATION: twin-gabled, with adjoining lean-to at ground floor. Gable to left advanced, with dormerheaded window and modern screen wall adjoined to right to E return. Window in each gablehead. Window to E return of lean-to; lean-to slightly recessed to right, with door to left, ventilation holes flanking to right and modern window, enlarged from door, to right. Gable outhouse adjoined to right with blocked opening to N.
Diamond-pane glazing. Granite ridge diamond stacks. Graded grey slates.
Storage shed, with 3 doors, built into slope to N.
