Description
122 Queen Street in Castle Douglas is an early 19th-century terrace consisting of three single-storey cottages with basements and attics, each featuring two bays. The cottages are constructed of painted rubble with raised margins. Access to the doors is via a short flight of steps, with basement windows positioned at pavement level. The cottages have sash and case windows, with 12-pane windows at Nos 122 and 126, while No 124 has 2-pane windows. Each cottage is topped with later bipartite dormers and slate roofs, which include end and ridge stacks, with brick stacks on No 122 and end skews.
