Description
4 High Street in Kirkcudbright is an early 19th-century terraced house. It has two storeys and an attic, which is lit by dormers at the rear, and features three bays. The building is constructed of squared coursed rubble with red sandstone quoins and painted margins around the windows and at the angles. The central entrance consists of a panelled two-leaf door, with a pend located at the extreme right. Throughout the house, there are 12-pane sash windows. At the rear, there are two piended, canted dormers. The roof has straight skews and end stacks, and it is covered with slate.
