Description

Brownrig Cottage is a pair of adjoining single-storey cottages built in the earlier to mid-19th century. They are symmetrically arranged and constructed from stugged and squared rubble, featuring ashlar dressings and Tudor hood-moulds. Each cottage has a central door that is glazed and boarded, along with sash windows. The inner windows are full-depth with 12-pane glazing, while the outer windows have higher cills and 6-pane glazing. The cottages have corniced axial stacks and a piended roof covered with graded slates, along with rear wings.
