Description

Earlier 19th century. Single storey row built on slope,

comprising 2 (originally 3) cottages with smithy between.

Snecked, stugged and squared pink rubble with ashlar

dressings. Cottage to north (Findlater) 3 bays with central

boarded door and 2 roof-lights, remainder of row under

continuous roof; cottage to north (Smithy Cottage) 4 bays

(originally 2-bay cottages - second door now a window); 2 bay

smithy, reatins boarded smithy door iron tethering loop on

stone nearby. Coped end stacks (one removed).
