Description

Frank C Carruthers of Lockerbie and Dumfries architect, 1900.

Curved long 2-storey terrace.

Red brick with ornamented red terra-cotta bands; some red

ashlar dressings (mainly lintels). Houses all 2 bays, paired

doors with brick shallow arches and cornice with tiny shallow

pediments; panelled doors with tall fanlights. Canted ground

floor windows; 1st floor window margins corbelled inwards at

foot, outwards at head. Terminal bays bipartite at 1st floor

and with raised wall-head gable with inscribed panels.

Arcaded eaves band on small corbels. Brick end stacks. Slate

roof.

Set behind low garden walls with red ashlar coping and square

gatepiers, wrought-iron gates and railings.
