Description
The Village Hall in Kettleholm, dated 1907, is situated facing a road junction. It has a rectangular plan and features a steep-pitched slate roof with an elaborate ventilator. The building presents a three-bay elevation with paired tall lights, while the inner bay is slightly advanced and topped with a shaped, steep-pedimented head. The exterior is white-harled, accented with contrasting ashlar dressings and moulded window reveals. There are recessed low flanking bays and a timber porch on the left side. Additional details include a cill course and cornice, and a rear outshot with a piended roof that integrates with the main roof. Inside, the hall has a simple design with an open-timbered roof, a platform at the south end, and a gallery opposite.
