Anti-Aircraft Operations Room, Craigiehall

The former Anti-Aircraft Operations Room at Craigiehall was built between 1953 and 1954 and features a later 20th century metal roof. This building is a two-storey, square-plan structure made of reinforced concrete, with entrances on the ground floor accessed through steel blast doors located at the center of the east and west elevations. Reinforced concrete blast walls provide protection for these doors.

The interior, as observed in 2016, includes a central U-plan area that is two storeys high, with a balcony on the upper level featuring a metal railing. Surrounding this area are narrow corridors with concrete walls, leading to smaller rooms. The building has five staircases, with three positioned against the external walls and two located in the center.

To the east of the building, there is a large steel array mast topped with a cross gantry aerial platform.
