Description

14, 15, and 16 Warrender Park Terrace is a five-storey tenement building with a basement and a mansard attic, likely designed by Edward Calvert around 1880. It features Baronial details and is constructed from squared and snecked pink sandstone, accented with polished ashlar dressings. The building has string courses at the first and fourth floors, a corbel table that steps down to the third floor, and shaped gables on the outer bays, along with stop-chamfered reveals.

The entrance elevation showcases shouldered roll-moulded doorways with recessed polished granite colonnettes and foliate capitals in the second and fourth bays, featuring deep-set panelled doors and plate glass fanlights. There is a single window above the second bay and a stylised dormerhead at the fourth floor. The fourth bay has a doorway flanked on the left by a simpler roll-moulded doorway with a panelled door and plate glass fanlight. Each floor has bipartite windows above, with the third and fourth bays linked by crow-stepped dormerheads and a wallhead stack. The outer left and right bays have full-height canted windows, corbelled to square at the fourth floor, and there are tripartite windows with single lights on the returns at the fourth floor, topped with fielded gableheads.

The building is fitted with plate glass sash and case windows and has a grey slate roof, with a coped wallhead stack that is partly rendered, coped mutual stacks, and scroll skewputts. The interiors were not seen in 1991. Decorative cast-iron railings are present at the basement and steps leading up to the entrances.
