Description

The Dovecot in Humbie is an early 18th century structure that is now in ruins. It features a two-stage, two-chamber design and is built from random rubble with ashlar quoins and a rat-course. The south wall has completely collapsed, while the north wall remains standing to about 10 feet. Portions of the west and east walls are also still intact. Inside, the dovecot has regular square nesting boxes, typical of its double chambered layout.
