Description
Dundas Loch Bridge, located at Dundas Castle, is an early 20th century, five-span symmetrical timber bridge. It features stone and timber cushions on four concrete cutwaters, which support truss-like piers made up of splayed principal and curvilinear secondary struts. These struts flank a central post that rises to pads beneath the joints in the timber sides, leading to a Tarmac-covered deck. The bridge is constructed with timber pegged mortice and tenon joints.
