Description

The Professor John Wilson Statue, located in East Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, was created by Sir John Steell between 1863 and 1865, with the plinth designed by David Bryce. This bronze statue depicts a figure with flowing hair and a beard, holding a cloak and a quill. It stands on a corniced ashlar plinth that features engaged Corinthian colonnettes.
