Description
4-storey and basement, 9-bay terraced tenement. Band courses between basement and principal floor, and principal and 1st floor; projecting cills to 1st and 2nd floor windows; continuous cornice at 2nd floor; cornice and blocking course at 3rd floor. Ashlar steps and entrance platts oversailing basement.
E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: flush-panelled timber common stair door centred at principal floor, with radial rectangular fanlight, flanked by windows; flush-panelled timber doors in bays 3rd from left and right; windows in remaining bays at principal floor. Regular fenestration to floors above. Windows guards in bays at 3rd floor, except in centre bay.
N ELEVATION: adjoining terrace, see separate listing (68-76 Dundas Street).
S ELEVATION: adjoining terrace, see separate listing (44-86 Great King Street).
12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate M-roof. Cast-iron rainwater goods. Coursed rubble ridge stacks with broached ashlar quoins; coped, with circular cans.
INTERIORS: not seen, 1997, but some evidence of working panelled shutters.
RAILINGS: ashlar copes surmounted by iron railings with spear-headed balusters and pineapple finials.
