Description
The bridge and embankment at Warriston Gardens in Edinburgh, designed by Grainger and Miller around 1840, is a significant structure that spans the former Edinburgh, Leith and Granton Railway, which is now a cycle track. The bridge is made of bull-faced coursed sandstone, with the stonework finished in a stugged style up to the parapet. It features a depressed arch and is flanked by channelled pilasters, with entablatures that extend into an ashlar-coped parapet along the roadway. The level of the track is notably raised beneath the bridge.
