Description
This building, located at 10 South Clerk Street in Edinburgh, dates from around 1863 and is a four-storey tenement block constructed from ashlar stone. It features a design without decorative elements, with shops on the ground floor and a nine-window frontage facing South Clerk Street. Notable architectural features include a scrolled double chimney head above a blind south bay, a canted bay treatment on the corner with a two-window design, and a canted bay on Hope Park Terrace. The ground floor has a dentilled cornice, while the windows on the first and third floors are architraved with cornices. The building also has a plain entablature and cornice at the top, topped with a slated roof.
